Little Bluestem Fall Work Party

Join Little Bluestem at our plant sanctuary grounds in Nelson County for a day of planting and forest tending.  We'll be hewing out space in a forest clearing for a large planting of woodland grasses and wildflowers.  These plantings will help diversify the gene pool of the region, and also serve as stock seed beds for our nursery.

This event is free and open to the public! Learn more and Register for the Work Party here.

Local Ecology Walk

Join us for a fall walk around the grounds of Panorama Natural Burial. Topics we may touch on during our walk include plant identification, succession ecology, sustainable approaches to seed collection, seasonal patterns in the landscape, edible/medicinal aspects of plants, animal communities inhabiting the place, and possibly other topics depending on what we come across in our walk.

Local genotype native plants from the Little Bluestem nursery will be available for sale after the walk. Fall is a great time to plant native!

This event is free and open to the public! Please RSVP here.
